Ok, so it is 4:54 am and I can't sleep. I have a million things running through my head right now like "wow, Mtv is actually playing music videos and it is Ashlee Simpson" (my guilty pleasure..don't judge) and "I just might hack up a lung before the night is over". First things first, I have been to Atlanta more times this week than I had all last year. I went to The Imperial Opa practice and took my rifle and sabre. It was fun, they liked it and want me to work to develop my sabre work for possibly an act. Yay! :) I got some cool photos of them working on, what I guess would be called, body stacking. They were working pyramids and what not. It was great to get shots of pretty much everyone together and working as a whole. I got some photos of my brother Jamie mingling and "playing" with the others. My mom and I experimented with food today. We tried caramel covered apple slices (they did great until the caramel melted off-still yummy) and wontons with cream cheese inside and deep fried (strawberry flavor was the least favorite, but cinnamon sugar and plain sugar were successful). We also got like crackers and chips and some sodas and what not. I am planning on purchasing my roll of paper maybe tomorrow so that I can get it and start printing. With that being said, I am thinking of ways of making the series flow. I was thinking maybe doing 4 prints at 16x20 gridded together to tell a small narrative which starts with Jamie and his family and then branches out to the gypsy family. For example, I was thinking one of the grids could be a shot of Jamie doing his thing alone, right next to that one is one of Jamie and his daughter practicing, then under the first image could be Jamie, Kelley, and my dad, then the last image be one of just Jamie and Kelley. This could transition to the next wall with a sub-series of Kelley. And on the other wall a sub-series of my dad and niece. In the next room have the similar thing with Captain Stab-Tuggo and The Imperial Opa. Just kinda work through everyone. Just a thought. Hopefully I will post some pre-edit photos from tonight tomorrow...er, from last night later today. It is now after 5 a...Ooo, Franz Ferdinan... m so I think it is time to go to sleep. With any luck this blog entry will settle my brain and I can sleep. So keep a look out for photos in the next 12 hours. Good night/morning, and happy shooting to all! :)
